“Cath, to us was a God send. I first contacted Cath 11th May for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary ten days before it was due. We had a little less than two weeks of preparation to find a venue and a celebrant that would perform the renewal of vows for my parents’ special occasion. As my parents had both been ill prior to their anniversary, my father with his vision and mum with her vertigo that lasted more than two months we really could not plan an elaborate celebration and this is where Cath comes in. My daughter found her name on a website along with some others. However she was the only one who picked up the phone and not some answering machine. I also had two more celebrants that returned the call and set up an appointment but it was Cath’s voice that attracted me, her tone and friendliness and most of all she was very accommodating upon learning the predicament we were in. Immediately she told me in details what was involved and as we had less than two weeks, she set up a meeting with me and my parents at her home that weekend. She was not only professional but very organised too. She conducted an interview with my parents on how their love blossomed and led to marriage all those years ago. She gave us lists of appropriate readings for the grandchildren to read and a couple of rituals that might be suitable to the little grandkids and great grandchild. The whole family was involved. She made it more exciting and special that on the actual day it was more than what we had anticipated for. The right setting for the garden ceremony, a moving story of my parents love story that she read out on her PA system, music, the exchanging of their wedding rings, the lighting of the candles and the presentation of their certificate as well as their little story book. It had an individual touch that Cath provided, which made it so special. My parents’ joy was written all over their face as well as my three brothers who gave a very positive feedback on the whole celebration. I would recommend her business one hundred percent as I am sure she gives her best to all her clients judging from the experience we had, as a matter of fact my daughter had also contracted her to perform the ceremony for her wedding when the time comes (hopefully soon).
